Speaker cleaner

Play a short 165 Hz tone through your phone speaker. A tone may move surface droplets, but this tool cannot detect liquid, remove embedded dirt or guarantee a repair. Remove headphones and start at a low, comfortable device volume.

What this test can tell you

This tool generates a short low-frequency speaker tone. It does not measure the speaker, inspect the phone or read liquid sensors.

Playback does not confirm cleaning, water removal, dryness or safe charging. For a wet or persistently muffled device, follow its manufacturer’s drying and service guidance.

How to use it

  1. Disconnect headphones and Bluetooth audio.
  2. If the phone is wet, follow its manufacturer’s drying instructions first.
  3. Point the speaker downward and start the short tone at a comfortable volume.
  4. Stop immediately if the sound distorts or feels uncomfortable; do not raise the volume to force a result.

What the sound can and cannot do

This page generates a low-frequency sound; it does not inspect the phone. Results depend on the speaker and the cause of the muffled audio. It is not a substitute for drying, cleaning or repair instructions from the manufacturer.

A liquid warning needs a different response

A tone cannot dry or inspect a charging port. Follow your device manufacturer’s instructions before connecting a charger. Do not insert objects into the connector or apply heat.

Not working? Try these fixes

No sound plays

Turn off silent mode (iPhone ring/silent switch), raise the media volume, and tap the button again — browsers only play sound after a tap.

The sound comes from headphones

Disconnect headphones and Bluetooth speakers so the phone speaker plays the tone.

Frequently asked questions

Does this guarantee water or dust removal?

No. The tool only plays a tone. It cannot confirm that a speaker is dry or repair physical damage.

Should I use maximum volume?

Start low and keep playback comfortable. Stop if there is distortion; higher volume does not establish that cleaning will work.
