What this test can tell you
The drawing area visualizes pointer contacts delivered to this page. Coverage and simultaneous-contact counters describe the area and contacts observed during your test.
A gap is something to reproduce, not an automatic diagnosis of the digitizer. Browser gestures, a protector, moisture or interrupted contact can affect the trace. Areas outside the drawing canvas are not tested.
How to use it
- Open the test on the phone or tablet you want to check.
- Slowly draw lines across the whole area, including the edges and corners.
- Place several fingers at once to check multi-touch.
- Look for gaps or jumps in the lines, then press Clear to repeat.
Reading the result
Draw slowly in rows and columns across the canvas. Repeat a gap from several directions and compare with another application. Interrupted contact, browser gestures, moisture, a protector or the device itself can affect a trace; the pattern alone does not identify the cause.
Not working? Try these fixes
Touches register in the wrong place
Clean and dry the surface according to the manufacturer’s instructions, then repeat with the case or protector removed only if appropriate. Compare another app and restart the device. Seek device support if the same problem persists.
Only one touch is counted
Some laptops and older tablets support only one or two touch points. Check your device specifications.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with a stylus?
Yes. Pens and styluses draw like a finger, so you can check accuracy along the edges.
How many touch points do phones support?
Most modern phones detect 5 to 10 touches at once.
